‘An office isn’t a place of worship’ Top French unionist defends workplace headscarf ban

THE head of one of France’s biggest trade unions welcomed a ruling by the European Union’s top court which allows companies to ban their staff from wearing Islamic headscarves and other visible religious symbols “under certain conditions”.
